It sounds to me like you want one of the last few year fox bodies, you can do a disc brake conversion, and I thought the manual in those was the same for the 94-95? Granted the aod-e is better than the aod, but either way your gonna need to beef up the transmission to run those times right?

I'd agree, I was trying to say that its not worth it since the block will kick the bucket way before forged parts are needed

oohhh not enough power... ill have to go for a dart block most likely then...

well it would work for the setup... getting everything to fit and the car running... hell even the turbo build would work on it... and the rear end...

I'd love to! Wanna finance it? Lol. I'm gonna drive the 351 for awhile while I save up the money for some afr's and a 393 kit.

Lol Sorry for the thread jack, OP

I don't think that you can get everything you want off of 1 year of Mustang.
None of the 302 roller type blocks are known for strenght anyway.
8.8 axle could come from most any year with the early (86-90) ones bing narrower.
I'm a C-4 type guy and so you need to go back into the 70's for that..........

I'm Going to agree with mjr & timman. First your not going to sniff 9s on a stock block like mjr said. You might get lucky and it'll hold together for a while running mid to high 10s. And like tin said a c-4 is probably the strongest, cost effective option for a drag car. That's what I'm going with. I'm thinking a 4000 stall and transbrake. As far as what year car to pillage. The later model stuff with the 8.8. The 5.0 are basically all the same. I think the computer is a little easier to work with in the foxes and the foxes are about 150 pounds lighter than the sn95's.
