1994 5.0 mods

I have a 1994 5.0 mustang GT 5 speed it has just turned 70000 mi i have had it since new its bone stock and i want to do some mild upgrades i allways thought when it was new i would replace the chip and i never did but I dont think anyone makes one for a 1994 5.0 anymore.
Does the cold open air cleaner from K&N do anything.
Give me some performance ideas without spending a lot.

Also it seams the bypass hose from the water pump to the heater pipe has been discontinited does anyone make this hose aftermarket i have checked two auto parts stores and nothing
its about 7" long molded. (water pump to pipe)

gears, exhaust and cai for small bolt ons, forget the chip idea = worthless, you can bump timing for free, as for the hose you need, Napa sells them, got the same one two months ago for a guy

GET some Under Drive Pulleys and for now just remove the air silencer in the fender it will give you a couple more ponies and like Mike said bump the timing up.....

Gears are the best return for money spent, may need to re-build the tru-trac also....
