Gear Change?
#11
MT82 Minus T56
3.66 + 3.73 = 7.39 - 2.97 = 4.42
2.43 + 3.73 = 6.16 - 2.07 = 4.09
1.69 + 3.73 = 5.42 - 1.43 = 3.99
1.32 + 3.73 = 5.05 - 1.00 = 4.05
1.00 + 3.73 = 4.73 - 0.74 = 3.99
0.65 + 3.73 = 4.38 - 0.50 = 3.88
So what that math tells me is that to have the same gearing feel as I did with my MT82 in my 11 Mustang GT with 3.73s per gear...
So this tells me that I will have more time in 1st gear with a 4.10 then I did in my 11, about the same in 2nd and then less in each gear after that because the ratios get closer and closer...
So taking this into account now what do you all think? 3.90s seem like the best option with a smaller tire size for the street.

Lol exactly, but at least he's taking everything into account like tires and individual gears to get an overall gear ratio. That last argument we had was just what rear gears to put in. Lol

Exactly what some have stated many times before lol! But in the end it is about the gear alone good point! He has all the info he just needs to deciede, the end result depends on his choice! Good pointing that out....

I have settled on 4.10s... I will still be around 2k at 75 mph which is fine for me, and I will have a great time putting my foot down while still having more time in 1st then I did in my 2011 GT MT.
