I'd do FRPP gears, UPR suspension, and sticky tires. Those mods put me in the 12s in my '89 LX with a stock 5.0.

This is where I would start also but I would also up for a set of subframe connectors. But your choice of suspension mfg. Sharad is a bit bias LOL but the UPR stuff is good.

What kind of cam can I get? I just bought a upper and lower gt 40 intake and 4:10 gear diff. Also what can I do for piston heads? How much horsepower should I be seeing with these upgrades?

+1 for the 4.10's

What are "piston heads"

As for power increases, maybe 20 hp over stock. Any power difference is going to be from those gears. 1st gear will be a blast

I'd look at upgrading your heads while you've got the top end apart. GT40 or GT40p heads will compliment that intake nicely and can be found in the yards along with the rest of your parts. As for a cam, check out the TFS 1. Comp Cams has a nice selection also. With your upgrades, I dont think a custom cam is worth the cost (although that is always the best way to go). Nonetheless, ANY cam other than stock is going to require upgraded valve springs

Guilty as charged!! But I'm a grumpy old man and I stick with what works for me. See?
