Should I sell?

Should I sell?
Hi all! I have 95GT that I did a 347 stroker kit to back in 2007. Anyways, Car started running really bad last summer right before I put it in storage for the winter. Now that summer is here, I took it out of storage and took the intake/valve covers off. Found that like 5 rocker arms broke in half!!!! The rocker arms are Proform, and after some research I found that this is a very common issue with this brand of Rocker. Now the Car needs new rockers, at least 3 lifters, and probably different length pushrods to go with whatever brand of rockers I put on. I looked up prices, and expect it will cost 500-600 bucks to get the car operational again.
The problem is, since I built this engine, I have gotten married and moved out of mom and dad's house into the real world with real bills and responsibilities. We really don't have the money fix this thing right, and would take me forever to save it up. I'm considering selling the car as is. My question is, does the fact that this is a highly modified engine negatively affect the car's value? It seems like most of the time, factory stock Mustangs seem to sell better than one's like this. What do you guys think? Car has around 160k miles and rebuilt title.

"I'll give you a grand for it the way it sits-not running. PM me if interested." Pretty much tells it.
How about dropping in a used stock engine?
With a stock engine, Kelley Blue Book rates the car's private owner price as $2593-$3593(KBB.com) Note that this doesn't account for the loss in value caused by the salvage title. KBB doesn't rate Salvage cars.

chit................If I were him I'd part it out before I'd let any of you hoodlums shark it for 1k, heck you could get 1k for just the heads alone, and for crap sake, throw the kbb.com chit out the window when it comes to modded mustangs, they are worth what one is willing to pay for the mods. OP fix it or take a huge loss in broke form
