5.0L V8 Identification?
#2
The block could be any year 5.0 absolutely no way to know with out id # on the block... the upper intake is from a 87/93 5.0ho and from the looks of they have done the reversal of the intake , there are some reasons that some pple do this reversal usually to make room for a turbo, or ease of throttle linkage adapting.

awww come on you can do better than that on the year^^^^^^^^^^ there is one key identifier that eliminates 89-93, not to say the long block isn't one of those years but since there is an air filter right off the throttle body, it's a Speed density set up so 86-88 would be most likely Key is, there is no mass air from what I see in the photo. but could even be a crown vic motor since the intake is flipped, can't remember if the lincoln mark 7/8 had the intake flipped as well, and they were h.o motors as well

I would go with Lincoln also because they did have the ac compressor on the opposite side and the intake was opposite of the mustangs as well. But the 94 mark viii, and towncars had a 4.6l not a 5.0. 86 Lincoln town cars used a 5.0l engine with the intake flipped like that. Judging from the location of the ac compressor that's what I would guess to say it is, but you never can tell what was done to the engine to make it fit in that bay.
