Default 3.73's or 4.10's??

Ok so I'm stuck on what gears I should go with. My car is a 5 speed with a tremec tko 600. The car is not a daily driver and doesn't see alot of highway driving. I am leaning more towards 3.73's but wasn't sure if there is a big rpm difference on the highway. Has stock 2.73's now....I can't wait to feel the difference either way!

Me first, Me first………… 3:55's would be perfect for you.

On a more serious note, what power level are you at?

4.10's. You have a pretty modest combo, 4.10's will get you the extra torque down low and out of the hole faster. Don't fear the gear

Duncan beat me to it. 410's (in your case) would be the way to go. Are you planning on going FI in the future??

My heads and cam are stock but plan on getting a set of trick flows right after winter...a supercharger may be in the future also! May hit the track once in a while also

Default For your use - 4:10

Three available overdrive ratios were available:
.64 or .68 ratios reduce engine rpm to a level that makes it fun to drive besides enhancing the fuel efficiency
.82 ratio is ideal for long straight-aways for high performance racing

With any of these, 5th gear will lower the RPM to an acceptable level (about 1/3) on the highway.....especially if you have either of the first two choices.... 4th and 5th gear
must be pretty worthless right now?

If you are worried about fuel economy, think about the rpm difference: Do you really think a v8 is going to use that much more gas while cruising with a 3-400 rpm difference?
