Default Ok folks here it is, my new to me 90 lx hatch

So I sold the 94 and got 4k out of it a couple weeks ago. I been holding onto the money for that long, I know crazy right ..but I think It paid off in the end

After a long an exhaustive search I have come up with this , I paid 3,700 for it as is , I need to clean it up a bit and wash it wax it blah blah, Ill try to give you a list of what all is done to the car so far that I have discovered and there may be more as I dig into it ...

5.0 HO .30 over bottom end was just freshened up about 2k miles ago
E cam
Aluminum ford racing heads. ( and yes they do have the engraving on them )

Polished aluminum cobra upper lower intake(needs cleaned and polished up a bit )

Ill get back to you on the throttle body and maf

Looks to be the red 30lb injectors ( and correct me if Im wrong )

BBK shorties / off road H / catless / flow master 50 series.

Looks to have some under drives as well.

8.8 rear with 3.55s

5 lug conversion, with cobra front hardware / still drums in the back.

Frame is tied in

It has a Brand new tremec T5

I believe its lowered an 1"

Some kind of after market lower control arms and sway bar,,( not sure on upper yet havnt gone that far .

New ecu was flashed for all mods.

This car would eat my 94 alive / and it is so smooth to drive

This is one clean fox for the year I crawled around all over and couldn't find a speck of rust any place on the body . It has a small dent in the drivers door that I am confident I can push out as its not creased just pushed in a little.

Im sure Ill find more to list later , I just got home with it.....

Any ways on with the show

Man is it ever quicker than the 94 , Im still trying to figure out exactly what heads they are , they say ford racing but I will have to dig a little more to see if I can find any other markings on them.

It also drives nicer than the 94 , probly due to better after market suspension. The thing is modded front to back

120xxx on the body , the guy just had the engine to a local builder that did the block .30 over and freshened all the bearings, seals , and installed the heads , cam and intake for him he said about 2k miles ago. At the same time he ordered a Tremec t5, the cobra clutch, and aluminum drive shaft.

He says the trans is a cobra spec T5 , I just havnt crawled under the car that far to look at it real close.

The engine has an aluminum oil sump as well . Tomorrow when I have more time Im gonna get it up on stands and crawl under there to get some pics and inspect it all more.

I agree , I couldn't leave it sit in his driveway for that . It needs a few things put back together inside , some of the panels are off but they are in the back . The windshield wipers don't function for some reason , I don't know if its a fuse , the switch or the actual wiper moter . Ill have to get out there tomorrow and go thru some things on it.

Where the hurst shifter was put in they failed to put any kind of insalation in there and heat comes in and some exhaust fumes so Ill have to get that buttoned up . I gotta say I like the feel of that old school shifter ball. My first thought when I saw the shifter was that it has to go but after driving it around a bit today I really like it.

The exhaust rattles against the trans mount between shifts and when decelerating so that's got to get fixed , I cant stand that sound.

Power steering pump has a slow leak on one of the lines , likely needs to be tightend up a bit.

The a/c is all there and looks to have been converted over to the 134a but the compressor wouldn't start, so either pressure switch or it needs to be looked at.

The guy actually went so far as to order 5 of the cobra R rims and has one in the spare tire well for a spare.

Im sure Ill find a few more things that need attention as I go along but to me that's part of the fun of a new used car lol.

Yea the guy said him and his girlfriend just bought a house and they needed money.

I had a hard time getting him to come off the 4k he originally was asking but we all know cash is king and its hard to say know to 37 crisp 100 dollar bills. I tried to get it for 3500 at first and he was a firm NO!! lol.
