Default Got bored , so decided to stripe.

I got a hair up ma **** yesterday and this is the result. Color is Gun metal metallic , and is done entirely with rattle cans cause I didn't feel like breaking out the air. Well see how it looks when it in the day light by the time I finished it was dark out and the garage lights suck. But I am liking it.

center line was a pain to track front to back

carrying the stripes down the front bumper was probly the most daunting task , but I think it turned out good.

Not as bad as the front bumper , but still no joy here either.

Now for the fun part ( and my personal favorite part )

And the end results

Ill get some better pics during the day light hrs , I hate the lights in the garage. I have about 8 big shop lights to hang but am too lazy to put em up just yet.

Thanx, Im gonna give it a few weeks and when I get time im gonna cut the entire car with some 1000 grit and put a clear pearl over the whole thing. I am debating on getting rid of the black bumper and side trim, I just havnt made up my mind yet.

Looks great d, noting like making a new car your own. And yeah, more pics in the daylight please. Next ROTM for fox's, you'll be giving Redfox a run.

Honestly it doesn't look bad, but the black side trim may change colors.

After looking this morning at how it attaches , I don't want to remove it because it leaves a groove behind it. I may tape a section off and experiment with some alternative colors for it. It may end up being white or the same gunmetal gray as the stripes .

Ok I finally got out side and got some pics in the sun. Its not bad but there are a few places that need some touching up . All in all though at least its pretty straight.

Thanx, its actually a ford color acrylic lacquer made by Dupli-color . I used 3, 8oz cans at 8 bucks a can. When I get ready to shoot the clear pearl Ill use ppg and a gun. Ill cut the entire car with some 1000 grit and I want to eliminate those red pinstripes. The great thing about the fords back then is the base coat is about 1/16" thick so there is a lot of room for sanding.

Im open to suggestions on the bumper and side trim as to what colors would look good with white and gray.
