Ok so my clutch cable is ready to snap up near the quadrant...it is a stock cable and still has the stock quadrant. I have 2 aluminum quadrants laying around..a single and a double hook. What is the best adjustable cable out there? And also should I use the single or double hook quadrant?
Kinda. You need a firewall adjuster to take the slack out of the cable. MM cable is an OE cable but I'm running it with their quadrant and firewall adjuster which makes it an adjustable clutch.
Not really sure. I had a UPR one in the car when I got it and the cable was on the last hook. Cable also broke 5 months later. That quadrant keep breaking cables no matter what hook I put it on. I finally went to the MM one and havent had a problem since. My brother's 03 GT did the same thing with a Ford Racing double hook one. I think the last time we fixed it we put it on the one closest to the firewall and that was a couple years ago.
