1988 doors ratteling.

Well, do they close tightly, or are they not latched all the way? Is the rattle inside the door or is the latch bushing worn away? Your question is kinda vague, find what's loose or worn out, then replace.

Is it the window rattling in the track? Very common problem when the window seal weatherstrip isn't putting any pressure on the glass. If its the whole door than it could be bushings in the hinges or on the striker or door seal weatherstrip.

Never knew the hinges had bushings. I'll check that. The doors shut but I can move them 3/8". The pin bushing looks good. Are the door strikers adjustable? I see LMR sells replacement door strikers. I'll try that first.

The bushings in the hinges usually cause the door to sag if they're bad; where you have to lift the door to close it. Strikers are usually adjustable but I can't remember on mustangs and its too cold to go look. Also sometimes the strikers have bushings that wear out.

The strikers are adjustable. The hole they screw into has a locking nut that floats in an oversized hole, so you can adjust up, down, in and out by loosening it, moving it to where you want it and retightening. If there's a rattle, I'd put my bet on the weatherstrip around the windows being worn out.
