Default 5 Lug conversion?????

So I have the oppertunity to convert my fox over to 5 lug, my question is why does it say to use 94-95 spindles? I know the 96-04 will increase the track width, but is there any other reason? My neighbor and I both have 88's, and we have the oppertunity to pick up a 95 3.8 and a 96 3.8. Our goal is to make one good car sell it, and part the other one for our own use on our foxes, ie. interior swap, 5 lug conversion....... Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

94-95 maintains correct steering geometry and track width...that is the only reason to use it over the 96-04 stuff iirc

They can both be used but the 94-95 maintain the same tie rod setup and geometry like previously stated.
