Rough estimate on the value of an '87 GT?
Going to look at an '87 GT with t-tops. Scarlet red with red interior. 5 speed manual. AC works.
Bone stock, down to the turbines and the cheese graters.
It's a one owner, garage kept about half of its life, but it needs paint and the rack is leaking. I was told the interior is "pretty good" whatever that means. He said it idles funny sometimes, I figure it's a speed density thing, probably no big deal.
I imagine it needs fresh headlights, they're original.
I don't know the mileage, sorry.
I had an '89 GT so I'm not new to foxbodies, just wondering what you guys think since I've been out of them for 10 years or so.
Rough estimates appreciated. Thanks for any thoughts!

Ehh its different region to region.. 1 owner is nice and all but it still has miles (not that it matters after 2000's).
All original is nice, at least you will know what needs to be replaced
Id say 3.5ish. Photo's would help too other wise hard to say

I'd start at $1500 (or just ask the seller what they want for it when you're standing in front of them). 150k mile car, which was only garaged for 1/2 of its life, is going to need at LOT of work. If it's always been a TX car and is rust free, it would probably be $3500+ up here.

Thanks everybody.
He "wants" 5K, but said he'd go as low as $3500 since it's going to a close friend of his nephew.
I've only seen pics, but my comfort zone is right around 3K, I can't see spending much more on a car that old that needs paint and a few mechanical things. I'd still like to look at it.
It's always been a TX car, so hopefully not much rust.
Thanks again.

I'm definitely interested in seeing what kind of shape it's in though. True, it may be a basket case, or it could be a gem. Not sure til I see it in person.

Personally, I don't care for the idea of buying a modified Fox because so many of them have been cobbled on over the years. I'd pay more for a stock vehicle.
