Default New Guy with a possible problem on Fox Body purchase

Hello everyone.

Just purchased a 1990 GT Hatch 5.0 5spd 140k mi

What I thought was a misaligned fender when I bought it seems to be much more. Front fenders gap is larger at top than bottom driv more than pass side. Also some kinks and tweaked areas in the floor pans. Don't know if this is unibody bent out of shape or tweeked from being beat on? I do know there was a minor wreck from the carfax but this seems more to me.

B303 cam
GT40 up/low
BBK shorty
70mm TB
no cat H pipe
2.5 flows all the way
not sure on gears
new clutch
Pro 5.0 shifter
Weld Drag lites good tires

Complete interior, all ac componets needs charge, sunroof

Needs doors hatch sunroof rubber

Car was dirt cheap but this may be a killer.

So saw a good video from a girl showing how a shop dorked her fender up with a jack on the pinch welds. Made me think about mine and sure enough mine are blasted..

her vid-

Spent the day rolling them back out and straightening them, especially where the lower fender bolt is.

Of course had to adjust door bolts and upper fender bolt and now I have it as close to perfect as I can without spending too much time on that.

This is where a good set of full length sub frame connectors come in.

Foxbody mustangs have tendency to twist a lot and flex when a lot of torque is applied or its jacked up .

Definitely. That was on my list but I was worried my chassis was tweaked. Thank god it looks like this is good to go. So I'll be ordering some weld full length soon!

Yeah, wow that's good stuff right there!

Checked my rear end and as close as (rotating the shaft, watching tire mark) my gears are 3.55-3.73. So that's cool. Maybe narrow that down since I didn't have much time today.

Thanks for the tips man!

When I first bought my Fox the pinch welds where slightly damaged from car lifts and jacks and this corrected the problem !

It helps keep the car nice and straight no twisting .....

Awesome! That was my next question as to which to order. The smaller "T" looking ones or the MM full length rail ones.

Thank you guys.

And damn that TB sounds like it was really busted up to flex that much?

Maxim Sub frames on the way, and a front strut tower brace I found cheap.
