Got it. '87 T-Top GT

Wow!
It's amazing what a difference a quality, properly functioning part can make.
I put the new Accufab throttle body on today, and it fixed two problems. The throttle doesn't stick anymore, for one.
Also, on a hunch I thought that maybe the bucking and rough running when warm might be because of the EGR, so I got the Accufab EGR delete spacer. Now it starts up nice, runs smooth, and doesn't hesitate when I go to start it.
The car is actually a pleasure to drive now.

It looks like this, but I got the 70mm. (and got it from Late Model Resto, the picture on their site is not accurate)

The car's 3rd brake light had the original dealership name on it. The name was embedded into the plastic so there was no way to get rid of it, so I found a replacement one on ebay.
If you've never had to replace one of these, they're hard to find. They don't repro these so finding a used one is your only option. Unfortunately the guys selling these know that, so they're proud of them.

Thanks guys.
I'm getting going on this thing quicker than I had originally planned. I really didn't want to dump too much money into it right from the start, but there's just things that I think it needs to get it to an enjoyable point.
I got my new headlights in, if I have time later today I'm going to put them on.

I got the headlights installed today, but found that the drivers side adjusting plate is cracked and broken in two places, so that will need to be replaced.
Also, when I went to go pull the car back into the garage, the starter hung up and I had to pull the battery cable off real quick. It seems to be intermittent, but I'm going to replace the starter before it gets worse.
One step forward, two steps back. LOL

You might check your ignition switch, I know you just replaced it, but if the electronic part got stuck, might cause a hang up as well, like if you held the key on too long.
I had the opposite issue, I had to rotate the key slightly backwards after starting to get the accessories to turn on, turned out be the electrical connection in the ignition switch, but it was a simple, non-mechanical fix, which might be a good place to start, idk

Thanks, yeah, I thought about that. I hope it's not that though, it was a major pain to replace. (although this one probably wont have to be drilled out like the original one did)
The only reason I figured it was the starter or the solenoid, the same thing happened recently to me with my 4Runner. The starter stuck in the on position and I had to undo the battery real quick. (but it had been giving me warnings for over a month)

Just had to replace the solenoid on mine a few weeks ago because of this, easy fix.
