It will be fun. A little more gear would be better, you're going conservative, but think 3.27 or 3.55 unless you really do a lot of highway driving in the car. Those bbk ssi intakes look really cool, but I've not read anything good about them from anybody. Good luck!

I don't think going from 2.73 to 3.08 would even be worth the effort.

For the record, I've had foxes with 2.73, 3.73, and now 3.08. I'd definitely go 3.73 to really wake that thing up.

Sounds like a fun project, good luck!

+1 ^^^ on the gears, 3:73 minimum.

And I also hear people rip on those BBK intakes alot. But I've never ran one personally.

Otherwise sounds good, except maybe run a smaller throttle body to help intake velocity. 75mm MAF to a 70mm throttle for example.

Build sounds decent to me except for the cam, I would go with some thing a little more modern than that.
To me 3.55 would be the minimum gear I would use and I would prefer a 3.73......

thanks for the updates fellas.. made some more upgrade purchases over the last couple weeks... got all the cobra disc brake parts. (front and rear).. rear axle with 3.27s and yukon axles.. (yes it sees about 400 miles of freeway a week).. red the reviews on the bbk intake.. (ordered parts to refit the fuel rails) home grown ingenuity)..looks like tire wheel package is as follows: afs mac black 03 cobra wheels in 17x9 and 17x10 with 225x50 fronts and 255x50 rear nitto nt450s.. got a deal on a jae tubular subframe and lower control arms... also looking into leaving the gt bumper and adding pony grill inset setup... an wife is checking on other hoods.. the gallerys on the web got her rethinking the norman hood..

Can't wait for pics, and I can't remember if you have them or not but you'll need aftermarket lower control arms with a 10" rim. They will hit the quad shocks depending on rim offset. Sounds like your having fun though.

Might want to re-think those Yukon axles.
They are simply a replacement axle, they are NOT SFI rated......
