306 HP Est.
Hi guys, new here to the forum. Just curious to see what you guys with 5.0 HO builds think my new combo will make to wheels or flywheel:
306 CI
TRW Forged pistons 9:5
Home ported E7TE with stock valves
TFS Stage 1 cam
Edelebrock Air Gap Intake
Holley 750 vacuum secondary (only odd part being to big but it was free!)
Electric Fan
BBK under drive pulleys
1 5/8 long tube headers with dual 40 series flowmaster
Rebuilt c4 with BTE valve body and stock boss hog converter
Duraspark Ignition
MSD Blaster 2 coil
Holley 110 gph mech. fuel pump
The car that this setup is in is a 1965 Mustang with 3.27 gears. Also any idea of 1/4 mile times? Drag strip would be at 20 ft above sea level and of coarse temp less then 65. Any info appreciated!

I doubt it'll meeet those expectations........I had a 66 coupe that I did a t-5 conversion to, had srp flat tops with D00e heads with 1.94/1.55 valves, crane fire ball 300 cam .500/.500 lift , ported heads, roller rockers, rpm air gap, 650 dp, and hooker super comp 1 5/8's headers, duraspark ignition, and 3.50 rear gears with Hd yukon trac-loc and on street tires it ran 13.3's at 104-105 mph, this car had drum brakes all the way around and stock suspension......with slicks and better gears, I'm sure it could of hit 12.90's but the brakes and suspension would of needed attention.........so my set up was a little more aggressive than the OP'S and his has a c-4 so it'll rob some power there. I'd guess mid to high 13's

I have no idea what a boss hog converter is. But i have found a stalled auto is worth anywhere from .5 to 1 second depending on power level. So I was actually giving him extra credit if he has a stalled auto. After thinking about it your trap speeds are probably closer. My 5.0 did 12.1@109 N/A. I probably had alot more suspension and power than the Op. If hes just running a stock stall C4 I would be inclined to agree with your guess. Im just to lazy to look up boss hog LOL.

The gears are what is really going to kill this car.
I'm thinking low 14's on the best day.
BTW, heads should have a good 3 angle valve job, it really does add to the flow.
IMHO a 750 vacuum secondary really isn't too big for this engine as the engine will only pull what it can.

I'm gonna agree with tin on this one, being the cars not set up yet. Those gears and stock stall won't help your 60 much, and home ported E7's could mean good or bad results.
Here's my opinion with street tires:
2.2 60ft, 13.8 at 102 / 103
Are you going to the track soon to find out?

Thanks for the estimates guys! To be honest with you all my guess would be 14.3-14.7 at 96-98 mph and around 285-290 hp at flywheel and around 240 rwhp. Thinking about bringing it to the track in January or February 2015. If I would go now in the heat I would be lucky to run in the 14 sec zone.
