whats my car worth realistically
hey all
i think its time to get rid of my 95gt
it has 145k miles. lets say it runs fine
no rust but paint is in pretty bad shape on roof and a couple other spots
iron gt40 heads, cobra intake, aftermarket cam, 3.73 gears, roller rockers, off road exhaust
i list the parts not because i think they make the car worth millions, but just for complete info.
it has that issue with the distributor heating up and car stalls (or is the pip thing or whatever)
i dont necessarily want to go by whatever kbb says because i would imagine theres value that they dont consider (i could be wrong though)
if i put this thread in the wrong forum, please move, sorry
thanks in advance for any input on this

Yeah parts decrease value on some of these cars. Here is an example:
$50k+ parts list on a 7,000 mile original paint excellent condition car. I watched one of these close at over $40k on ebay with no parts list and 1200 miles. Another on Barrett Jackson sold for $44,500 that was also stock and low mile.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-Ford-Mu...hZSGdn&vxp=mtr
and the guy is telling the truth about the engine, for one it is aluminum and two, who builds a clevor engine in this Century?

Realistically..... $1500 to maybe $2000 if you find the perfect buyer.
Sad how quickly some cars depreciate, but look at it as a buyer. Sounds like your clear coat is failing, car dies when hot.....simple fix to some, but a deal breaker to others, and 145k for mileage is to high for many, but just broke in to some.

none of these cars bring any money, except low mileage originals that are rare models..............it amazes me all the jackwads on fleabay and scammers list (craigslist) who are asking top dollar for heaps of bastardized junk!!

I laugh at all the 86-93 Stangs that guys want $10K for. Mostly stock with little mods. There will always be some lame throw in, like ''New shocks! New tie rod ends! Motor runs real nice and has never been opened before!''
My 93 just hit 200k last month!
Of course, the odometer says it only has 215 miles on it, since there's no extra digit! I don't know what KBB values this thing as, but I've got some work into it. I replaced the original motor around 86k miles I think? So it's got almost 115k on the rebuilt motor that I put in, which a few clowns told me that a rebuilt motor usually doesn't make it that long. I would have won that bet by a whole lot. I put in a whole new (rebuilt) t-5 around 178k miles I think? Have a few mods. I've had this since August of 2000, it will be 17 years next week. This is the one that I consider ''My car'' more so than my 2003 Mach 1 before it was wrecked last year. Even though I got the Mach 1 brand new and bought this one when it was 7 years old and had 31k miles on it. It's not even my first Mustang, as I had a 73 Mach 1 which was my first car back in 1988-1994. The sunroof keeps leaking too, but I try not to drive it in the rain and it's garage kept! The original motocraft starter from the factory is about to go.
I bet KBB has it valued at $3k grand or something, if not only $2k grand!
