Just posted in a different section but realized it should have been here...

I'm looking at purchasing a 1993 Mustang GT Convertible Automatic. The car is in rough cosmetic shape on the interior, but the outside looks ok. The car turns over, but isn't running. I'm able to get it for $800...

Anyways, i'd love to fix it up and keep it as i've always loved the fox body style...but if it turns out to be too much work, would it be easy to resell?

Thoughts??

Id buy 4 of those at 800 bucks. As long as its not all rusted out underneath and the shock towers are in good shape.

Really? I just threw him an offer of $400. He will probably say no, but I can't lose much at that price.

I agree with the other guys.If you're interested in keeping the car,everything interior wise will definitely have to be replaced,except for the dash,steering wheel,console & maybe the door panels.The seats would be the costliest part of the job.If it was mine,I'd replace the front seats with 94-98 Mustang or 03-04
Cobra seats. Pull-A-Part usually has a few 94-98 Mustangs to pick from,but you won't find a Cobra there.You would have to pay an upholstery shop to recover the rear seat with the same material the new front seats are covered with or put a rear seat delete in the back instead.
​​​​​​If you wanna keep the stock seats,cloth seat upholstery is available for $350 & leather is available for $699.Plus you'll have to pay labor costs too,unless you can upholstery them yourself.The link at the bottom leads you to one company that sells the seat upholstery.Headliners and carpet are also available at the site.

If you put a fresh battery in the car,pull the air intake hose off the throttle body just enough to spray some starting fluid into the throttle body,push the hose back onto the tb then try starting it.If it starts and runs for a few seconds then dies,you've got a No Fuel,Lack Of Fuel Pressure or No Injector Pulse issue.If it didn't start at all,you've got a No Spark issue.
