Hey Shane,

I would recommend focusing your time and $$$ on making sure you can put the power you have to the ground. Rear suspension, rearend gear ratio, torque converter if you have an automatic, or clutch if you have a manual. All of the RWHP in the world isn't going to matter if you can't make it work.

I had a full interior 86 GT with a 306, C4, Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Heads, Edelbrock Victor Jr. Intake, and a Holley 750 DP. Car went 11.50's all day on 93 Octane and I drove it to the track. The best thing about the foxbody is that they are simple so don't overthink the HP part. Good Luck.
