Default Granatelli Coil packs for the Coyote engine

Has anyone installed Granatelli hot street coils on their Coyote 5.0 engine?? The owner of the company claims around 13 HP gain with his YouTube video as he dyno'd the car before & after. Tempted to put these on, sure couldn't hurt to get a hotter spark. $500 a lot of $$ though.

Same as the old school method of upgrading plug wires. More voltage to the plug means a better spark, better spark means more complete charge burn. I am skeptical about a 13hp increase though. Personally, I wouldn't bother. If you *needed* new coil packs these would be a decent upgrade, but to replace working stock ones with this seems like a waste of money.

I'm sure the OEM coils are completely up to the job.

We offer the Street Fighter Version for just $345.00. They output 42kv which is still near double the factory coils. Facotry coils are $80.00 so a set are $640.00 I think the GMS pricing is pretty darn good

For the record - the stock coils are great and lots of people make are making 800rwhp with stock coils. That does not mean they are not leaving that extra gain on the table. Calling coils a waste of money is like saying you don't need a better stereo because the one that came with the car is "good enough"

I'm considering the COP's for my 2012 Mustang GT. Maybe take to the track, to see if it picks up anything, maybe post results on YouTube.
