Default How do you turn of interior lights with door opened?

Anyone know how to do this? I turned off the lights with the side switch but when you open the door, the door illumination lights and some others will still turn on. I need to be able to do this for a night photography shot.

By "door illumination lights" are you referencing the ones by the handles, the ambient lighting? That's in the settings menu of your info display, around where you can choose the color settings you can set it to "off".

Would disconnecting the battery help with whatever you're trying to do?

Pull the fuse.
Isn't there a little switch in the door?

It would, but maybe the fuse route would be better? I just wished there was a button that maybe I don't know about somewhere.

Has anyone considered adding a toggle switch to the door switch.

The switch would break the 'switched' wire if the door switch closes the circuit when the door is open. The toggle switch would be left <Off> to keep lights off.

If the door switch opens when the door opens, the toggle switch would tap into the switched wire (without breaking it). The other side of the toggle would probably tie to ground. Would have to see the wiring diagram to confirm. The toggle switch would be in <On> position to keep lights off.

None of the above considers what fooling the controls would do to systems effected by the door switch. I would thing that it would be okay for the controls to think the door is closed when it's actually open.
