I love the looks of this car, it's power with an 8 cylinder motor, and it's a convertible. But I also like a car that rides well. I realize this is a sports car. I've never owned a sports car before but I guess it is what it is. I may change my mind since it is my prerogative. lol
Thank you everyone for your opinions and help.
Is this your first time driving a convertible? Pending the car, the structure is different and it doesn't handle/drive as well as a hardtop. Try the fastback, the ride quality is hardly discernable from my gf's Infiniti M56x.

The only thing I could tell was a difference in the RPMs of the motor. So my question is, what exactly does changing these modes do? I have looked here and in the owner's manual to no avail. Thanks in advance, Carrol
it changes the shifting strategy of the auto tranny sigificantly. That is what you noticed regarding rpms. It also allows you full control over the gears via paddle shifters, if you use them. I dont like the way the auto works in sport mode, but I do like the paddle shifters when you want to stay at high rpms and get all the power out of a corner. I believe there is also a "loosening" of the traction control systems, and the throttle response is a bit quicker (its all electronics).

if you don't like the ride of a 2017 mustang, a sports car is probably not a fit for you, to be honest. It's the nicest riding pony car in history if you don't get the performance pack. If you're coming from a modern sedan or suv, you're just not used to feeling the road at all.

No, I've driven one before but it was a Mercedes roadster that a friend owns. I really want a fast convertible that rides good and is affordable. I may look at a used Mercedes, I dunno.

I drive a Toyota Corolla and I guess you're right. A true sports car probably isn't right for me. Thanks

S500 GT Track Pack with MT PP is by far the best value money can buy. It is silky smooth on the highway and eats corners all day long. Ford nailed it on this one! (except for the sloppy shifter feel)

Well, I did it. Got me a 2017 triple yellow GT Premium and I LOVE it! I tried to post a picture of it but I can't get off the 0%. Thanks to everyone who participated in my thread.
