I've had the X-pipe on the car for awhile with the factory mufflers; everything else is stock as well. Unlike other axle-back systems, it seems that this one has some sort of "muffler," so I suspect that, even with the X-pipe, the exhaust won't be too loud (which is what the wife is worried about). I'm concerned about drone at highway speeds, e.g. 70+ mph.

Does anyone else have this or similar setup?

This axle back exhaust is manufactured and sold by NXTStep. CJ just a retailer.
Most drone comes from the X pipe , H pipe or resonator not the axle back.

I'm resurrecting my own thread. I have a rental 2019 Mustang 5.0, and it sounds great. Why? I also like the 10-speed automatic and 460 horses.

If the drone comes from the X pipe, then what's the best setup to avoid this? I've seen people just recommend a Corsa Touring, for example, with a Hemholtz resonator that eliminates harsh frequencies (from the human in the cabin's perspective).
