3:73 regrets?

In my '09 GT500, I paid 3x for gear installs, mostly because the first 2x were done incorrectly. Those 3 installs combined cost me about $1600. So my first piece of advice would be find the RIGHT shop who can do it correctly the first time, even if it costs more.
As for the cost on the final install, it was about $800. Had I needed another set of 3.73 gears, that price would've gone up another $150 or so; luckily those were the only pieces that did not need to be replaced on the final install and thankfully, they are running perfectly w/no gear whine or slop.

Regular mechanic, uh NO! Proper gear installation is an art form. You really want someone w/lots of experience doing gear installs.
Honestly, if you want it done right, I think it's fair to estimate between $750-1000 for parts and labor.

355 gears for me
My F150 has 355 gears & I drove a GT with 355 gears; these seem perfect for my driving & performance..
So i'm going with 2019 GT Premium Convert with PP, 355 gears & Magna Ride with B&O stereo; so i'll be selling my 2014 V6 Prem Pony Ruby Red Stone Interior & Stone Top.. So anyone In Midwest i'm in Illinois [NE of St. Louis]

Curious for those who have had 3.73s installed, what did you pay for labor? Do it yourself? I was quoted recently (Atlanta, GA area) and am surprised by the cost. Understand it's IRS and more work than the older generation Mustangs, but still seemed high.
If you're in the Atlanta area, who have you used to have your gears installed?
Thanks!

All in all, 3.73 is not a bad ratio to upgrade from 3.15 or 3.55. As I said, I went from a
2.86 to 3.64, I only lost 2MPG, and +300 RPM in 5th, lockup, on my former Charger.
3.73 is a common upgrade, and is both applicable to city and highway driving...
