Default 2019 Mustang GT Pre-Purchase Questions

Good Day,

I am considering ordering a 2019 GT, and have a few questions.

I am looking at getting a pretty loaded version of the GT and really like the "Royal Crimson" color. I am leaning towards the auto, although I could be swayed. I have had manual sports cars, and manual regular cars, in the past and have really enjoyed them. However, from what I've read/seen the new 10-speed seems pretty sweet. Also, I will probably do some power mods down the road and am curious if they are better done with the auto, as opposed to the manual.

One question I have is, do you need to get the performance pack to get MagnaRide? It appears that you do. I am considering the performance pack anyway, but that would also mean that I would want to get dedicated winter tires (or all season) and rims for wintertime and switch out the summer tires each year.

Also, I would get the 401A package with the Premier Trim with Color Accent Group. My question is, are the seats "accented" in the same color as your exterior? Or is it just white stitching? When using Ford's configuration page, you cannot see the interior changes as you go along (unless I am missing something).

I would also appreciate any advice, or pros and cons, of the getting the performance pack...... or even getting the performance pack 2. Although with the performance pack 2, I would need to get the manual.

Thank you,

I've got the Royal Crimson 2018 GT and love the car. Thought about the PP but didn't want the hassles of swapping winter tires every year like I did for my BMWs. Not to say it won't happen down the road, but it will be nice not having to change and store tires this coming winter. 401a package is nice. I didn't shop for all the options available but I gotta say I have no regrets with what I have now and it certainly is a great foundation to build on with future mods. Good Luck!

I just bought a 2018 premium without the PP. so far the standard brakes work fine but, I will not take it on the track. I have the 10 speed auto which I love as this is my daily driver. It gets great mpg and when you want to get “ sporty” there are different modes. I am 64 years old so, I am done with shifting gears. My car also came with 3:55 rear dif. The 12” digital instrument panel is too cool. Have fun shopping when the 19’s are out!

@Dargo, what is your intent with the car? Daily driving? Daily with some strip? Daily with some road course? No daily but strip and/or road course?
