Hey folks,

I've received (finally, woohoo!) my 2018 Mustang GT intake manifold to install on my 2016 GT from Hellhorse Performance. It arrived in one piece!

Question: how important is it to get torque exactly correct when tightening the new intake manifold onto my engine? Ford Performance lists very particular torques for particular bolts during the install of the GT350 intake manifold in their instructions (https://performanceparts.ford.com/do...TM-9452-M8.PDF), but every guide I've found for installing the '18 GT manifold on earlier Mustangs seems to just use the "tighten it nice and tight with a hammer driver" method.

I don't have a torque wrench where I'm at today, and I'm anxious to get this bad boy on my car. Should I be concerned about specific torque specs?

The intake is plastic so use your best judgement. Yes you should torque it.

its like 98 inch pounds like 8 foot pounds for the manny bolts i did my 18 install already you doing locksouts or trying to keep the imrc

Because of it being plastic, is precisely why it needs torqued. Too tight, and you
will crack the plastic.
