How do i tell if my ECU has been flashed before?
Purchased my used 2015 GT Premium a couple months ago and it already had an AirRaid CAI and a Borla Stinger S Type 2.5" cat back exhaust when I got it. sweet! but one of the next performance mods obviously would be to reflash the ECU to make full use of those 2 popular mods! Im not spending $450+ on a BAMA tune if the car already had one, so how do i check if the car has already had the computer reprogrammed?
Thanks guys

You can't, but the dealer can check the flash counter. Doesn't say the when, or if they
were ECU updates at a dealer. It should be noted in a car-fax or history report if there
was an ECU update. If there were none, and your flash count is more than 2, then
chances are it was or is.
Not all intakes or exhausts require a tune.
You would need another tuner to find out, because you won't be able to tune it if it already
has one.

AirRaid is a brand that doesn't usually require a tune if you leave a certain insert inside the tube to restrict the airflow. In other words, it is a purely an aesthetic upgrade and does not nothing for performance. I have a feeling you have that type. Same goes for the cat back system . Sound aesthetic.
If you want more power out of the car you will NEED a tune. The tune is what comprises 90% of the power gains from the combo CAI + Tune upgrades. That's been true since 99+

Without a tune, if it has a restrictor, you don't remove it.
Removing it without a tune will cause your engine to run lean and at the very least throw a Check engine light. At the very worst it goes into limp mode and can potentially damage the engine and/or catalytic converters.
