2011 Mustang GT: Actual Weight

Just weighed my 2011 Mustang GT Base (300A) w/ Manual 6-Speed.
Only Option is 3.55 Gears. This is not a Spoiler Delete Car.

Dry Shipping Weight (MSO): 3461 lb

Curb Weight - Light (3 gal of Fuel): 3520 lb
Weight Distr: 1920 lb (54.5%) F / 1600 lb (45.5%) R

Curb Weight - Full (16 gal of Fuel): 3600 lb
Weight Distr: 1940 lb (53.9%) F / 1660 lb (46.1%) R

That was on a Certified Scale that weighs individual axles and total seperately.
Should be accurate +/- 10 lb.

Note: Weights without Driver.

Thats lighter than the premium cars, I was wondering what the true weight of a base GT would be! Glad you brought that to light Gene! Oh by the way thanks for writing me back and sending the pictures of your sweeeettt Ride!! Oh the best ways of taking pictures of the Grabber blue paint is by not taking a picture with it up close in direct sunlight makes it look like an Easter Egg! Street lights are great, and dusk and dawn are great times to take advantage of taking pictures of it! It looks great in all times of the day but just on camara it looks funky in direct sunlight! Notice how motor trend or other car mags take pictures of it in shade or at dusk! LOL Thanks Gene!! Hope your loving the 5.0!! :)

Assuming that was with a full tank yes.

Its 120 lb heavier than my 2007 GT Deluxe 130A with 3.55.
Other than color they are optioned identical.

sounds about right. the 2010 gained a little weight over the 2005-2009.

How could you be wondering, when Ford listed the curb weight as 3603 (or thereabouts).
The weights of nearly every car out there is always the "base" car.
The optioned out cars are always heavier than the listed "curb weight" from the manufacturers. Though some manufacturers "fudge" the weights just like they do the power. I weighed my 335i coupe and it came in about 150 lbs lighter than what BMW lists it at. It also make more power than the 300 hp they advertise (which everyone knows).
Cuz we all know a 3600 lbs car with 300 hp can't do 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and 1/4 mile in 13.4 @ 105+ mph.

Usually loaded cars are 50-80 lbs heavier depending on options, maybe more if there are lots of options like 20" wheels and panoramic or dual sunroofs.

What I am at least wondering is how much the 2011 GT Premium with Brembo Brake package weighs.
I'm sure it's a bit more than the base 2011 GT, but I'll bet it's within a couple lbs. As the "premium" options probably a bit, and the Brembo brakes probably add a few more lbs.
But the Brembo brake package car also has wheels that are about 3 lbs lighter each, and it does not have a spare tire, which saves about 30 lbs.

So my guess would be fully fueled up, it would be within 10 lbs of the base car.
