Everytime I go to buy a car I do the exact same thing. I go in test drive the car, let them run my credit, and appraise my trade in. They are always in a huge hurry to make a sell. I then tell them let me think about it and leave. 9 times out of 10 they are going to call you at home to follow up. When they do that I know they are really wanting my business. I also go to multiple dealerships and play their prices against each other. I was also kind of lucky and hit it off with the sales manager. I basically have everything with the exception of Nav and the Brembo brakes. I still have to take it back for the shaker hood and Shelby striping. After I saw Sync function I decided I did not want or need the nav. Of course you can see from the pictures I don't have the big moon roof etc. This is just what seems to work for me. Of course it is different everytime.

Yeap sounds like a beautiful car, I've priced mine out on ford's site a few times... and its around 37.5k sticker --- I'd like to get sub 3.9 @ 60 with 5-10k down ... and price down to 32.5k at least... add up taxes and fees... I'd like to be at 34.5k out the door.

To swing a deal like that I figure I've gotta wait a bit for the hype to die down on the 5.0

i paid sticker on mine. problem was it was the first one in my area for like a 150 mile radius. it was exactly what i wanted. have to change my screen name somehow, thats not the car i have. i have a gt premium, black ,6speed, charcoal lthr. 3.55, 19 inch machined wheels, you know the ones people say look like the things you roll your garden hoses up on. wanted to keep it simple. paid 35085 plus tax. couldnt take the chance that car would sell! Was another month before the next ones started to come in. still havent seen one i like yet. no regrets!

You want to see some mark up try buying the new Shelby. I finally found a black one near me and hauled butt to the dealership. The sticker was 53k. I told the salesman I want that car and I don't need to drive it etc. He then said you do realize there is a additional 15k charge for that car. So 68k for a Shelby. Lowest mark up I found was 10k in my area. It is a sweet car, but no way I would ever pay that much for it. I can go buy a freaking Porsche for that kind of cash.

I took a 5.0 6 speed manual for a test drive a couple of weeks ago. Very nice car but they wanted $6000 above sticker.

They came down to sticker pretty quick but that was it. $2000 under sticker would work for me.

I wouldn't pay a penny over invoice + hold back + fees... I've been doing a little more research... it should be possible in about 6 months or so

I can't believe I'm still reading that dealers are asking above sticker for the 5.0s.

It must depend on the geographic area.
