I waited a year till 2006 before I purchased my GT. I will do the same again with this new 5.0, to get a chance to hear about any negative issues. We already know there's a clutch issue. So lets see what Ford does to fix this & any other problems(if any) by next years model. Also it may prove to my benefit to buy a used 2011GT from a dealer by this time next year. Only time will tell is basically the gist of it all. Time will tell about traffic picking up here & time will tell(1 year) if its right for me to buy the 5.0!

My car is scheduled to be delivered in early September, so hopefully by then there is more to talk about and discuss in these forums.

Thanks

Well luckily I have had zero problems. One thing we can discuss though is how bad the Shaker 500 Radio system sucks. That is my only complaint and negative thus far. I had a King Ranch before and the upgraded radio in it would rock you out. Never could turn it up over half way. Even my 03 Cobra had a pretty rocking stereo. IMO this one sucks.

I wonder how the sound system is if you order the electronics package (nav system)? If I get one of these, or a boss, I want that.

Of course, a visit to crutchfield's amp and speaker section is always a possibility.

Wow, I thought the Shaker 500 is pretty good, especially for not having any dedicated subs. It has really good definition for mids and lows down to about 100hz, then it kinda drops off. The mid highs around 1000-1200hz is a tad to faint too.

The problem is your car is too new, brand new mustang owners might not have found this site yet! Give it time they eventually will, same with mods for the 11's as mods for the 10's is still lacking!!!!

Umm, GTJT2010, you do realize that the oil change procedure is going to be completely different on the 2011s? You know, what with the new engine and all... lol

I agree but I made it sound much better by turning down the bass and treble. Straight from the factory my bass and treble were cranked all the way up. I brought them back down to neutral and it sounds much better but will still be the target of upgrades.

*I thought because it said '0' on the sliders that it was in the middle but that isn't correct. Pay attention to how much orange the bar has. This is for the electronics package. Not sure how the rest of you check bass and treble.

I'm on an IA tour here - one year in the desert in exchange for follow-on order priority, a NAM, and some extra money. Frankly I'm not sure it's worth it, but a job is a job, right? lol
