Test drove the 5.0...holy $hit! What is the lowest I can get a GT for???

Holy old thread batman!
For those who are curious: I bought a 2012 base gt in Jan 2012 for 24,600 after rebates (about 26k OTD). I am on my second mt82 and have bad synchro whine again which ford claims is "normal for the mt82". The car randomly shuts off while driving which neither of two dealerships can figure out. As much as I love the car, I'm selling it. A 3 year old car with 23k miles should not have this many issues. I am waiting for the new focus rs to come out as I want a good handling awd car again (stock suspended GT is a rolly polly boat!).
I hope the rest of you have had better luck than me!

I have a rear-end whine the dealer has been unable to resolve. I'll probably end up taking it to a local reputable drivetrain shop and get it fixed out of pocket, but that's mostly because there's no way I'm going to let the dealer sit on the car for 3 weeks again.

Is it a 3.73 equipped car? How bad is that whine? I've had a slight whine since new at 75-80MPH cruising. A little bit of whine is normal on steeper geared cars. My 4.10 mustang did the same. I have had the car for 26k miles and 4 years and the whine has not gotten any worse.
