I have a 2011 GT. The light is located on the the Tach gauge to the right of the center. It is red when lit and square with two legs, one on each end of the square, and the only light on the right side of the gauge. It came on today for the first time.
I have searched the owner's manual and cannot find an explanation. It is pictured in the manual on the dash pictures, but does not explain the function.
Makes sense now. Does anyone know what turns the light on or off? Yesterday was the first day it was lit. That is why I thought it was a warning light. It was never on until yesterday.
Tough getting old. I looked at pictures of the tach gauge on the internet today and they show the light is on. Must have been on the whole time and just never noticed it. Thanks for the replies.
Wait until you hit the rev limiter. The whole guage blinks red. Also don't forget if you have SYNC you can always do the Vehicle Health Report and look at it online. It will even tell you if your fluids are low. I did one the other day in the driveway with the parking break set. On the report that section was red. I guess the computer thought I was driving with the break set.
