mmm....although this will help with longevity and keep oil out of your intake, I wonder what it will do to warranties. Although each dealer is different, it may cause some issues.

Also, for the people that will eventually have to deal with emissions, you may have to swap it out before you go.

This was a pretty common mod for the SRT-4's and the guys here in AZ were failing the visual inspection for emissions testing because of it.

It takes 5 seconds to remove and replace the stock piece if you are worried about that.

Honestly, they would have to PROVE that was the cause of something... that won't happen IMO.

Oh I know...I was just throwing a heads up out there. Would suck to pay for the testing, then swap out, then have to test again...

If they fix the 6 speed manual tranny in this thing, I would love to drove one off the lot brand new but I'll just have to wait until then....

Just called JLT and asked about any CARB/smog issues on their oil separator... they say that it should be legal but to 'check with the ARB' to be sure. So, dunno

Pat.

yeah it should pass the SMOG test or sniffer test but its the visual they dont like. Now this being fully encased might be different. Some catch cans Ive seen on other cars have a clear casing...either way...its a very quick removal and reinstall. Im sure we'll eventually find out.

Yeah, I just installed mine on my 5.0. Here in GA they don't pop the hood for inspections so not to worried about that.
