Default CAI and Tuning

Everyone says their CAI and tuning is the best.

I have a 2011 GT. 6 speed manual. Obviously, I want the most rwhp like everyone else. Steeda says they are more consistent than JLT...blah...blah...blah. Before I spend $700, I want to buy something I'll really notice.

Who likes their set up and why?

Thanks!

This set looks interesting:

i went through this line of through with my 10 GT purchase. i could have bought a GT500 or waited for the 5.0 and opted for the 10 because i wanted to mod right away. that said, i have driven both the 5.0 and the 11 GT500. the 11 GT500 is an awesome car but i had more fun driving the 5.0 and my 10GT. If you offered me my 10Gt or the 5.0 i like the blown 10 more because of the power delivery. i haven't been in a blown 5.0 so that is an unknown to me. the GT500 is fast, but it felt so heavy driving and lacked the nimble feel of my 10 and the 5.0.

the big benefit of the GT500 for a modder is the forged internals. You can go big power without getting into the motor. That said, you can drop in an alumnator and a whipple and put out every bit of the power that GT500 can and still have money to burn for playing if you buy right. it really depends on what you want. i knew if i got the GT500 i wouldn't want to mod the car as much, especially on the outside. There are a ton of GT500 cars in my area and i didn't want my car to look like every other one out there.

It's a hard decision to make really. Personally, i am still not comfortable enough with the known limits of the 5.0 to feel safe putting a blower on my personal car. Give it a few model years so we know how well they hold up under boost for tens of thousands of miles and then we can talk. in the end if you are a serious modder, the 4.6, 5.0, GT500 Can all make more power than you can use on the street. i care nothing for names or badges so it came down to what i thought i could have the most fun with, so it was the 10GT for me. in a few years when i am tired of this car we shall see what the stang is like then. I get all excited thinking about a TT Cobra in 2014.
