Of course waranty work can be denied. It has been in many cases. Ask the GTR transmission guys.

...Right, because a computer that logs when you use launch control is the exact same thing as some idiot mechanic deciding he doesn't feel like pulling a transmission today.

My 11GT transmission definitely whines a bit in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I have about 4600 miles on it now. I know it is the transmission and not the rear end gear because the pitch increases with RPM and not speed. Also, it isn't there while just reving the engine. AFAIK, it always made the whine. Many transmissions have this, especially in performance cars, so I would not be too worried, but it sounds as if some of you have no added transmission sound that changes pitch with RPM while in gear?
