Default misfire in cylinder 2

hey guys. obviously i dont have a 5.0 but my dad just bought one (2011 5.0 manual with 3.73s, i like it a lot lol). the other day when he was driving he came to a stop at a light the car started sputtering at idle and the rpms dipped close to or below 500. my dad pulled over, turned the car off, and then turned it back on and the problem was gone. so he went to the dealership and they pulled the code. turns out it was a misfire in cylinder 2 (i believe the code was P0302), and the dealership assured him that it wasnt anything to worry about and was normal for the new car (around 700 miles IIRC). so my question is does this sound normal? anything we should be worried about?

tigercrazy - i've had my 5.0 for 6K+ miles and no, i've never experienced what you describe. it's certainly a bit unnerving to have the dealership tell you that an error code for a cylinder misfire is "normal" so i'd keep a close eye on it. btw - did you make the WHM meet yesterday? i stayed home and grilled some burgers for the fam - i'll try to make the next one.

Leave it to a dealership to say that kind of BS.

"Your engine falling out is quite normal."
