Indeed. I recall the old Eclipses having issues with heat soak due to the tiny SMICs. Hopefully the size of this will offset the obstruction of the bumper beam.

I'm also curious about the exhaust routing. The way the turbo is offset seems like unequal length headers may be used. I think hearing a V8 "boxer rumble" from the coyote would be like having an orgasm...on the surface of the sun.

I know I'm a little late in the this thread and bringing it back from the dead... But I gotta say... I'm running this system on my 2011 and it F*CKING ROCKS!!!!!

So far I've only made an 1/8th mile run, but I cut a 1.52 60' and ran a 7.01@100mph in 110 degree weather. Now that it's cooling off and I'll have some free time coming up, I'm going to get back to my local track and actually run a full quarter mile pass. I'm hoping to see some mid 10's with this setup. It's awesome. Hellion uses BBR now for their tuning of the 2011/2012 systems and I couldn't be happier with the drivability and the power. I opted for the 67mm turbo with the billet wheel upgrade. Turbo spools super quick and pulls hard. So for anyone thinking about this system, it's worth every penny!!!!!

how do you feel about the placement? large puddles of water a problem? this past year just driving down the highway i think i would have gotten water sucked into it because of all the flooding we had. which would have been a problem because i have to take that highway to get to the track

In my younger days I had a cold air scope and this actually happened. My stupidity, but a lesson learned nevertheless.

I think Hellion is a great company, this just looked like a curious setup to me.
Those were my first thoughts right as I seen that picture

I live in rainy south florida and I've had zero issues. I also try to avoid huge puddles. I drove back from Mustang Week back in July in the pouring rain for about 1/2 the drive. So I'd say there really isn't any issues.

I'm actually getting ready to test a new turbo for Hellion on my car. it's the new Turbonetics 64mm ball bearing billet wheel turbo. It's suppose to spool insainly fast. Almost no lag at all and it's capable of the same boost levels are power gains as the 67mm precision I'm running now. So we shall see. If it can spool like 1000rpm sooner and quicker, this car will be a beast!!!

If anyone is interested there is a twin turbo setup in the works. The thread can be found here:
