2012 BOSS 302 Mustang Custom Dyno Tune!
We took a Stock 2012 BOSS 302 Mustang and did a couple baseline pulls on the dyno and it made 367RWHP and 328RWTQ.
On a side note: We have a Mustang 1100-SE Loaded Dyno, which typically reads 5-7% less then a Dyno Jet. The only thing that matters are the gains over the baseline.
We then Installed a Magnaflow Off Road X-Pipe, Borla S-Type Catback Exhaust System, and a JLT Plastic Cold Air Intake to help the car breathe a little better.
No Mustang would be complete without loading an Evolution Performance custom tune for the 2012 BOSS 302 Mustang, which has a lot of changes made to the Ti-VCT to make up for the low end torque loss the BOSS has because of the Intake Manifold.
The end result was a Peak Gain of 33RWHP and 32RWTQ.

nice....anything special with the computer being that the car has 2 keys....road and track OEM tunes? Which tune did you guys adjust.....if it works that way??

Sweet! We've been seeing typical gains of 30-35 RWHP reported on the forums for the 5.0 with just a CAI & tune, although from a percentage standpoint, it's equivalent to the % gains the 4.6L's see. Regardless, sweet...

More importantly... what were the red key dyno numbers/compared to the black key? Ford claims to have adjusted over 200 parameters into the red key... and from the dealer's mouth the red key gives it close to 600hp... but I'm calling bs. Still, besides the seats, and intake manifold... something has to warrant the large price jump from GT - Boss.

The red key does nothing right now. The software isnt out cali is holding up carb. Ford has said the track key adds no hp bit ups torque. Im not biying it doesnt up hp though at least a bit. The launch control is the thing i want to know if the tuners will be able to tune in.
