Questions about pricing a 5.0
I have been building and pricing Mustangs for almost 3 months now, lol every day!
i am very excited but begining to worry about what i will have to pay. i have been reading a lot of things online about what people are paying etc...
on the ford website my mustang comes to $39,414. thats with Brembo, 3:73s, comfort, 401A and, electronics
is this MSRP? what is msrp anyway?
is 39414 the lowest possible price i can get this for?
Id appriciate any help at all.
Thankyou,
-Chris

Look for rebates. Cars.com is a good place to see what dealers are offering for discounts. I paid 28500 and sticker was 31500... Rounded numbers. At the time the rebates were 2 one thousand dollar rebates and 1000 from the dealer. Check x- plan prices.

They have other discount plans so be stout and willing to leave the dealership. The dealer needs your business. It may be better for you to contact thier online sales person or sales manager first. A floor salesmen isnt going to help in most cases. Some finance companies like Capital One have car buying tools that show current discounts and list dealers who can meet the quoted price.

i am in no rush for the car...well i just have to hold back the excitement, this will be my first new car. but i have seen my parents buy a few cars and they are both stone walls so ill have them come with me.
but the online price on the ford website after i build it came to 39,414. is that the lowest price i should expect to pay or can i still haggle that price?

I think you should first research how to buy a car first.
Never pay MSRP. Start negotiating at INVOICE price, not MSRP. Go to driveyourdream.zag.com and build your mustang there. You will get a hassle-free price at $300 below invoice + rebates with them. Go to the ford website and order a mail brochure, they will send you a $750 along with the brochure. I think the 2012 has $500 in rebates.
Visit truecar.com to find out how an invoice looks like, so you know the holdback amount and regional ad fees.
It's better if you start negotiating with their internet team, contact different dealers, you can search each dealership inventory at fordvehicles.com
Good luck.
