What else have you driven? A stock mustang can't hold mustard to a stock true sports car. Our cars are muscle cars that can't keep up in the turns, but will probably catch you on the straights. a $30k sports car is a miata.

Don't talk about mods because they change everything.

Completely agree!! while the Mustang is much more rounded performance-wise than the ones of old, when put in the context of where they fit in todays performance car market, they are still a muscle car. Yeah the mustang handles pretty dang good but its still no corevett.

Fun to drive, bang for the buck, and everyday livability, in my opinion, are what makes the mustang a muscle car and not a sports car (not counting the huge weight difference in the two haha)

Muscle by my standards. I think these cars are what you make them though really. Mods make all the difference. There are some cars around here that have had their suspension overhauled and in my opinion have basically become sports cars. There are also cars with so much power that their mustang couldn't even hook-up in a turn if they tried, they might as well try drifting.

That's the best part about the mustang, you can really make it into anything you want. For me, the stock 412hp, along with a tune, is plenty of power for me so I'm trying to pull off a muscular look since that's the definition I love.

I don't know... I had a 68.. It was muscle.. Was great at burnouts..
My 2011 is so different and drives so well..

Only sports car I owned was a RX8 I guess.. I took it to the edge..
I would chew it up and spit it out with the Mustang.

They compared the Mustang to the M3.. What is the M3? Those beamer lovers would **** if you called their M3 a muscle car

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9zve6FUeVA

Maybe it's the backseat that makes it a muscle car...

I have driven a few vettes.. The Mustang isn't a Vette(yeah like my head doesn't hit the roof), but it is still it's impressive.. I saw a video where a guy was hanging right with a C6 vette on a track not a drag strip..

The votes don't lie.. So it's muscle... It's a great driving muscle car...

Default Sports Car

It's a sports car in my book.

GT 5.0 BBP = BMW M3 or Porsche 911
Boss 302 = Porsche GT3
Boss 302 LS = Porsche GT3 RS

And before you throw any stones the above has already been proven on a race track.
