who did/is upgrading throttle body
So the factory throttle body for the 2011 GT is 80mm.
~L&M sells one that is 82mm @ American Muscle - $400
~BBK sells one that is 85mm @ American Muscle - $450
~Ford Racing sells one that is 90mm @ American Muscle - TBA (im hoping only $500)
I want to upgrade but I am not sure to what. Current mods: Steeda CAI, SCT tune, Magnaflow comp cat back. Coming soon: ARH 1-7/8 LT headers w/ ARH catted x-pipe. Will anything happen if I go w the biggest? ie: backfire, anything bad, etc?

Honestly, I don't see a larger throttle body giving you that much of an improvement over stock, especially N/A. If you want to go bigger for the sake of going bigger, or forced induction in the future, knock yourself out.

+1 there is really no reason to upgrade a throttle body just to upgrade a throttle body

Prepare to spend more than $500. You need the adaptor also.

yep, same thing the 4.6L 3 valve saw, the throttle body really isn't a resctriction on the 05+ engines.
You'd need some serious N/A mods like heads/cams before the throttle body would be a restriction, you might see a little hp gain then.
so yeah, my recommendation is dont buy one. It's kind of like the CAI, otherwise stock the CAI on the 5.0 doesn't add much whp, but once you put exhaust on there then it becomes a restriction that adding the CAI makes a bigger difference.
