My hazard lights come on all on there own. So far i notice it after hard acceleration. I just installed a cai and bama tune. Anyone experience this or know why it could be doing this?

I had some dachshunds in my car with me one day. The little bastards walked all over everything, including stepping on my hazards lights, the advance trac button, and the trunk release.

Really annoying, the hazards would come on, and I would see my advancetrac get turned on. Good thing the truck release does not function when the car is in motion.

Not sure what the issue is.

But thinking about it, you MAY have one of these in your car....

this has happened to me maybe 3-4 times as well, i also noticed it under hard acceleration. i thought that maybe i hit the button when i was shifting, but could be doing it itself, i dunno

I've never personally heard of this problem, definitely odd for sure!


Have you contacted my Tuning Specialists to see if it's something they've seen before or may know how to correct?

Thanks, if it continues i will give them a call. May be a fluke. I will try to narrow down any possibilities first before bothering them with this.

I would at least give them a buzz and inform them of the situation, so that they can help you look into it.

I'm not one of the Tuning Specialists, so I don't hear about these things right away all the time, who knows, maybe it's something simple/silly and easily remedied.

is your car a manual or automatic transmission?

Auto. Sometimes it wont shift into enough of a lower gear. Say im at 35mph floor it and it goes into 3rd instead of 2nd. Going to continue to play w it some more. Was just curious if its normal why it wouldnt do it more consistantly. Maybe the comp is still learning my driving habits.

Yea, either that or your car is so fast from the tune now, that the PCM throws the hazards on to let people around you know to get the hell out of the way!
