Barton shifter guys..question
Does the barton shifter maintain the same actuation for reverse? do you still press down the shifter in neutral > 1st gear, to go into reverse?
Also has anyone else with barton shifter's experpienced any problems with them? If so explain below.

It retains the same motion as the stock shifter except it just does it better. I myself have an MGW shifter on order check this out:

Yes it basically says the same thing on Bartons and AM's website. That it maintains the factory reverse lockout, which is basically for safety. I am mainly concerned because if you do not have to press the shifter down in order to get it in to reverse than I may not want this shifter.
Makes me nervous if reverse was to replace first gear, unless you would go down from first over to the left and up for reverse.
And the second part I was curious about..there were a couple of guys that were having noise issues with this shifter, just wondering if they would tune in since its been awhile and mention if they were still having noise.
Kinda hard when it comes to shifters because I know they are all personal preference.
