2012 5.0 on pursuit driving course
I have a good friend that works in the Traffic enforcement division for our local police department. I ussually help out in the police academy DWI testing section. What we do is go drink until we get above the legal limit and let the cadets test us in field sobriety so they can learn what to look for. But that is not what I'm am writing about today, he also does the driving section of the academy the next week. He had asked me if I would like to bring my car out and run the pursuit driving course so of course I said yes. He said the one thing is that I have to let him run it through too and I said no problem.
So here are a few videos from the course:
This was his first run

This was his second run, you can here one of the Cadets in the begining asking to drive the car, everyone had questions about it and loved it. He ran a 54 on the course in this one and my last run was a 54 also. There was only one other 54 ran on the course and that was a Dodge Charger Police package. The The guy that drove that 54 in The Charger was a very good driver and was pushing the Crown Vic Police Interceptors to high 56's which is very rare.

Heris the other instructor driving with me doing the video

And one more of me riding with the other instructor, I changed the steering to sport mode for this run.

They also did something that they ussually dont do just to show me and give the cadets a little treat at the end. The cadets with the two best times got to pursure the instructors with both the cadet and the instructor driving the Chargers.
This first video is the Guy that had the second fastest time chasing the instrucrtor. The Guy pursuing was running about 58's in the Charger and he had been talking to me about my runs in my Mustang. I told him that I just trust the car and let it do the work, I told him that it has all the same feature that the Charger he is driving has. I told him before his qualifying run to trust the car it will hold the corners and to push it hard thats what it is designed for. He shaved 3 seconds off his time to run a 55 for the second best run of the day and he was very excited, I guess I'm a good motivational speaker. The object of the pursuit is to keep 3 to 5 seconds behind the suspect vehicle and they both did great.

Here is the Guy with the fastest time pursing the instructor, I didn't have a motivational speach for him, he was just flat out good. He was running high 56's in a Crown vic police interceptor
