Just curious, its there a way to determine, either through the VIN or otherwise, whether a pre-owned 5.0 GT has 3.73 gears?

The 3.73s are a must have for me, and while I'll probably order new, I'm considering buying pre-owned if I can find a deal.

It should say on the drivers side door jam. Unless the previous owner had the gears changed.

Ford has a VIN checker. You put in the URL and the end of the URL is your VIN.....you can print the window sticker!

They're all still new enough that the sticker on the pumpkin should still show what was installed. Unless the previous owner has replaced the gears and not updated the tag (most do, because it's right there), you'll know what gears you have.

You can tell what it came from the factory with by the code in the door jam.
