Default How much boost pressue can the new coyote engine handle safely

I am new to these forums and wanted to ask the members here about supercharging the coyote engine. I just purchased a 2012 with a Kenne Bell 2.8LC supercharged car new from a dealer in Vegas who specializes in high performance stangs. The car was tuned by Kenne Bell themselves in CA at 8psi. I assume this motor can handle that psi and up to 10psi safely with a proper tune and AFR without the engine having to be built. Your opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

Depends on the setup (type of supercharger) and what your goals are as to how worried you should be. Several SC's are making 525-550hp with 6-7 PSI I really don't think it would have a problem handling that. The thing about the Kenne Bell is it's a lot of PSI but it keeps the ambient temps much lower than most of the other SC's.......really the tune is everything, if the tune is good and you don't drive the hell out of it I think it would be ok.

Thanks, just a little nervous reading about these powder rods not being designed for boost at all. I assume the 5.4liter has forged rods and pistons?

The 5.4 does have a forged rotating assembly as does the Boss 302 but with the right tune it should workout just fine.
