Default Buying another stang opinions needed

I am looking for another mustang since my wife wrecked my last one. I have about 4500 to spend on one. I am looking for an sn95 platform. It will be a daily driver and I'm not that concerned about mpg since 2-3mpg difference won't make or break me. My main question is what mods are needed on a 94-95 5.0 and a 96-98 4.6 to be able to keep up with a stock new edge. Like I said it will be a dd that I will take to the 1/4 a couple times. Any opinions are appreciated.

id go with the 5.0 if your looking for more response out of bolt ons. the parts are cheaper and the motor is very basic. these modular motors are a little trickier and a little more pricey to mod, not to mention if you want any kind of hp gain you need to look at some kind of forced induction or expensive top end work.

What kind of bolt ons should I look for already installed on the car. I am just interested in it being just as fast or faster than my 04

if you want faster than an 04GT out of an sn95 get a PI swapped one. my car put down 281rwhp and 318rwtq just from the PI swap exhaust and cold air intake.

I really enjoy my 96 cobra. Nice look. Mean sound. And 305hp out of the box. Never had it dyno'd but it will be done shortly.

with the 5.0 you're probably going to need gears, and full bolt ons to see it as quick as the new edges. h/c/i swap will put it way above the new edges depending on parts you choose.
