Solid black bullitt 20x8.5's and 20x10's are also on the way with nitto invos..
Good choice!

lets try an actual 5.0L mustang magazine article(for 05-10 mustangs):

http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...ooker_jba.html

JBA gains, 3500 RPM 9.3, 4000 9.9, 4500 13.0 5000 14.77, 5500 17.41, 6000 26.3, 17.82 average gain
Kooks, 3500 RPM 7.31, 4000 9.06, 4500, 12.82, 5000 19.39 5500 19.11, 6000 40.76, 23.59 average gain.

The important part is the 4500-6000 rpm range since thats where you are when racing. Kooks makes the best headers on 05-10 mustangs and I believe for 11-12 as well, although there isn't a comparison like this out yet for the new 5.0.

for the rest ill list min/max gains and avgs
jba, 9.3 min, 26.3 max, 17.82 average
Bassani, 8.41 min 33 max, 17.39 average
BBK, 7.17 min, 33.61 max, 17.39 average
hooker 5.61 min, 28.08 max, 14.57 average
kooks, 7.31 min, 40.67 max, 23.59 average
mac, 6.43 min, 42.13 max, 22.52 average
Stainless works, -11 min, 35 max, 12.78 average

I have over 3,000 posts and a member for over 4 years.. i've done research. as far as peak power jba is the least gains, average worst are hooker though. and I'm not including that stainless works header issue, they said they had to cut stuff and no mid pipe so they had to fabricate something? so something wasn't right with the kit they received, those numbers seem way off although still much better peak numbers than JBA. on the 11-12 mustangs people report stainless works as good fit/finish and good gains.

also note that those mac's that performed well are their expensive mac ceramic line, not their cheap $600 set.
If you have used JBA before than you know the quality and the fit is great.

So what you are saying is that a supercharged 4.6L 3v mustang made more rwhp with larger diameter Longtubes tubes? Test the 1 7/8" JBA LT's against any other 1 7/8" Headers and lets see the difference.

I thought EVERYONE knew that larger diameter headers will make more RWHP. With a blower for sure!

Just wanted to share some great news to Mustang members. BTW I have used Kooks and others before but the difference in price is not worth it in my pocket book.

What are you even talking about 1 7/8"? click on the links in the article for the sizes(you need excel), these are 1 5/8" on the kooks, same size as the JBA's. btw, just the header alone (no mid-pipe) on the kooks is 875, and JBA's were $797 for the version of LT header they tested. The macs and the stainless works were 1 3/4, so an extra 1/8. The rest were all 1 5/8

Well, I bought a set of Kooks 1 7/8'' long tube headers last night.. I also scored a very nice looking used C&L intake system for $165 shipped from a forum member.

The original post was for 2011-2012 Mustang Parts and all I wanted to do was pass on a GREAT deal that I saw for 11-12 cars. I always was told it's nice to help people and if I can save a fellow Mustang owners $$$ then it's a good thing.

The JBA headers in the article were also Ceramic Coated and the Kooks were just bare stainless. That is the price difference! Below is the two headers offered today for the 05-2010.

05-2010 Stainless JBA Headers

05-2010 Stainless Kooks Headers

2011-2012 Stainless JBA 1 7/8"

2011-2012 Stainless Kooks 1 7/8"

Done!

I appreciate your posts for parts with good prices. I welcome more of them. There's a very good chance I would have bought those if I hadn't splurged last night on the kooks.

As far as headers go. I have run just about everything from off the shelf to custom .. kooks, stainless works and lemons are at the top of the list for quality, sound, performance and fit ...just my .02

Also, I saw a response regarding
The boss intake. From my research...unless you are road racing..the boss intake isn't really that much of an improvement for straight line racing.

Now, don't get me wrong... the Boss intake is super sick looking and shouldn't really hurt you. So, if ya want that "wow" factor when u open the hood...get the intake
