HIDs wouldn't help if he hit the cow going 45-55mph. It sounds more like an issue of not expecting it, not immediately recognizing it, and not reacting fast enough. I think HIDs are terrible, they have an intense beam but it doesn't diffuse like a normal headlight, you get worse off-road visibility, which is usually where animals are going to come from. I would never get HIDs for that reason, i regularly drive highways that are known for a lot of deer and elk, they always jump out in front of you when they are on the side of the road, i never see them standing in the middle of the road staring.

Gonna have to check the pictures out when I get home from work. Did your insurance company cover your rental for the whole month?

Unfortunately I was not aware that I didn't have a rental car on my policy (I do now) and this was definately NOT how I wanted to find that out. Fortunately I'm in a car pool for work so it wasn't a HUGE issue, I was just forced to rely on friends when we went out.

Paint the mesh grilles in the hood vents black, just my opinion. Glad you got it back, watch out for cows! The reflection from your house on the hood makes it look like you have vents on the top of the hood too, like the 2013 Boss. I really like the Saleen grille and CS bumper insert.

Those are vents on the top of the hood. They let heat escape from the engine bay. I'm going to paint the mesh, the vents on the hood, and my 5.0 emblems black this weekend. And hopefully get my long tubes installed

be carefull with that hood. I dont know about the location of the plugs in the 5.0 but on the 4.6 if you drive that hood in the rain then your plug wells easily fill up with water and drown your plug / cop.

I've wondered what issues could arise from the hood vents. I've talked to a couple of mechanics and they say that there shouldn't be anything to worry about with it. I may get in touch with AM and see what they think. So far I haven't had any problems, although it hasn't rained but just a few times where I'm at and you could hardly call it rain when it does... more like a mist.
